At Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, we grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. From wishing to ski in Colorado, to wishing for an ice skating rink in their backyard, our wish kids love to play outside during the winter months!

We are so grateful for Ski NH’s support through the 4th and 5th grade Snowsports Passport, as part of the proceeds from these sales benefit Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. The average cost of a wish here in our state is $10,000. Our goal is to grant 90 wishes this year, which would not be possible without the amazing support of organizations like Ski NH.

Every year our wish kids look forward to skiing and snowboarding across the country. As a wish kid myself, I never got the chance to experience snowboarding until Make-A-Wish gave my family ski passes one winter. Since the expenses were covered, my entire family was able to go skiing and snowboarding together for the first time. This would have never been possible without the ski passes from Make-A-Wish. I took lessons with snowboard instructors at Gunstock and Pat’s Peak, and soon enough I was confidently going down the slopes on my own. With the support of Make-A-Wish I was able to enjoy a winter sport that I learned to love with my family, which would have been difficult otherwise due to the expensive nature of the sport.

No matter where you ski, whether it’s in the breathtaking White Mountains of New Hampshire or across the country, it’s important to take advantage of and enjoy a family activity like skiing. Never take your days on the slopes for granted.
